Foothill Spring Recreation Softball
Registration is September through December.
6U teams are assigned by school and geographically. 8U and above are assigned based on player evaluations in January. Every registrant gets placed on a team.
Practices start four weeks prior to Opening Ceremonies and first games. Teams will get 2 practices per week (one mid week and one weekend) starting in February. There are about 8 weeks of games (one midweek and one weekend) with a final tournament for 8u and up at the end of league play.
What does each player need:
- Helmet (USA Softball approved)
- Glove
- Fielding mask (8u and up required)
- Bat (recommended)
- Cleats (recommended)
The league provides a jersey. Parents and teams may opt for coordinated pants, belt, socks, visors for additional costs.

- October 1 Volunteer Opportunities (Coach, Assistant Coach and Manager) Open on Team Sideline
- December 10 First Background/SafeSport Upload
- January 10 Player evaluations at Buckeye Elementary. Bring glove, bat, helmet, face mask and cleats
- January 10 Second Background/SafeSport Upload
- February 1 Volunteer Opportunities (Field Day, Snack Shack, Jersey Pick Up) Open on Team Sideline
- February 7 Coaches Meeting, Equipment pick up and Coach Clinic at Buckeye Elementary | 9 am - 12 pm
- February 7 Field Day at Buckeye Elementary | 9 am
- February 7 Third and Final Background/SafeSport Upload
- February 15 Practice Begins
- February 23 Parents Meeting at TBD | 6:30
- March 1 DEADLINE: All Volunteers must be cleared to participate in any capacity with the players
- March 1 Umpire Clinic at Buckeye Elementary School | 10 am - 12 pm
- March 2 Game Schedule Released
- March 5 Uniform pickup and Dine in Fundraiser at Pizza Factory | 5 pm
- March 14 Opening Day Ceremonies and Picture Day at Buckeye Elementary | 9 am
- March 14 Foothill Games Begin
- May 12 Playoff Games Begin (8u, 10u, 12u)
- May 16 Closing Day Ceremonies and Championship Games at Buckeye Elementary | 9 am
