How To Enroll
Below are a list of steps to log in to your FGSL.org TeamSideline account and enroll your players or volunteer for the league.

START
There are two ways to get to enrollment. (1) Select the "Sign In" button in the upper left corner on the "Home" page and then under "My Account" select "Place Order".  (2) On FGSL.org Home page Click "Enroll" under the "Now Registering" section. If you have not logged in before, select create new account. Fill out information and add your player(s) to your account.

A. Enrolling Players and/or Volunteering as a Coach, Assistant Coach, Manager or Team Parent

  1. Enrolling Players: Select the Enrollee (Player) and the Offering (Division) and select Add Enrollment. Each player you want to register must be added as an Enrollment.
    EXAMPLE: Enrollee (Player Name) >> Enrollment Type (Player) >> Program (2024 Spring Softball) >> Offering (8u Division) >> Add Enrollment.
  2. Enrolling to Volunteer as Coach, Assistant Coach, Manager (Female), or Team Parent: Select the Enrollee (Parent), the Enrollment Type (Volunteer), Offering (Division), Enrollment Selection (Coach) and select Add Enrollment. The $40 Background Check and Insurance fee is automatically applied to all volunteer options.
    The Coach, 1 Assistant Coach and 1 Manager per team will be reimbursed the $40 Background Check Fee from the league.  
    EXAMPLE: Enrollee (Parent Name) >> Enrollment Type (Volunteer) >> Program (2024 Spring Softball) >> Offering (8u Division) >>  Enrollment Selection (Coach)  >> Add Enrollment. 

  3. Checkout: Select "Proceed to Checkout" to continue with the enrollment process. Siblings have to be in the same checkout transaction for the discount to be applied.
  4. Enrollment Type: The next couple of pages will have you fill out player(s) and/or volunteer (coach) application.  
  5. Billing and Payment: Enter your billing and payment information and select "Place Order".
  6. Completed Order Process: You will receive an email confirming your order and you can check your order by using the "Enrollments" link under "My Account".
  7.  Additional Costs: Please review the Parent Information or Coach Information for these costs.

B: Additional Volunteer Information 
If you volunteer as Coach, Assistant Coach, Manager (Female), or Team Parent you are still not cleared with USA Softball to be on the fields with the players. 

  1. Notify Coaches Coordinator and Player Agent: The head coach notifies Coaches Coordinator and Player Agent of identified volunteer team staff.
  2. Register USA Softball:  Player Agent uploads volunteers to Register USA softball. The Spring uploads begin November 1 and finish by February 1.
    You will receive a welcome email from USA Softball and be prompted to create an account or login to your existing account. Confirm your information is correct on the "HomePlate" page and approve USA Softball to process your background check. This process takes about 24 hours.

  3. Trainings:
    • SafeSport - On the Register USA Softball Homeplate site select the SafeSport tab to be redirected to SafeSport. Register for new account or login and follow the prompts and complete the training. Make sure your RegisterUSASoftball and SafeSport accounts are linked. 
      If you are completing your first year, you must take module 1, 2, 3.  Second year, you will complete the Yearly Refresher. Third year, you will complete the Yearly Refresher 2. Review the (3 minute) SafeSport instructional video for help.
    • Concussion and Protocol - Select the concussion training. 
  4. Badge: There are two badges you will receive. One from Register USA Softball after you completed all the mandatory trainings and the second badge comes from FGSL. The USA badge will be mailed to your house and the FGSL badges are available during uniform pickup, opening ceremonies or the snack bar at Buckeye Elementary. Both badges must be worn and visible at all practices and games.

CEnrolling for Required Volunteer Hours: 

Each family is required to volunteer 8 hours (1 child) or 10 hours (2 or more children). Two of those hours must be a snack bar shift.

  1. Enroll for volunteer shift: Log into your account and select volunteer shifts under My Account. Select the parent and volunteer opportunity you would like to volunteer for. 
    Example: My Account >> Volunteer Shifts >> Select Member Name >> Available Shifts (Select shift/date/time) >> Enter Request.

D: Sponsoring a Team: 

  1. Sponsoring a Team: Visit the FGSL store and select the level of sponsorship you would like to purchase and add to cart.  If you do not have an account, you can visit the Donation page and select the level of sponsorship you would like to purchase and add to cart.

Requesting a Refund
Fill out the form to request a refund. We will only be able to offer partial refunds due to already paid expenses.
