2024 Fall Ball - Fall 2024

We are excited to have your player registered with Foothill Girls Softball League. Fall Ball registration is June 1 - July 7. The divisions for Fall 2024 are 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U and 16-18U. If enrollments allow, we will draft teams in both 14U and 16U.

Returning Select and All Star players, pitchers and catchers have priority as we are limited in the number of teams we can present for fall. All registrants will be placed on a waitlist until teams are formed following evaluations. If we have more players than roster space, registration fees will be refunded in full. Evaluations will tentatively be held July 8 at Buckeye.

Season is August 1 - November 1. Please review the Fall Ball page on our website for more detailed information. A seeding tournament starts the season (late August), double header games are played on Sundays in Sacramento and surrounding areas, and a final tournament is played at end of season (late October). If you have any questions, please contact our Fall Ball Coordinator at selectcoordinator@fgsl.org. PGSA Players are welcome to play with FGSL for the 2024 season.

2025 Spring Rec Softball - Spring 2025

We are excited to have your player registered with Foothill Girls Softball League. Visit our Spring Recreation Program for more information and important dates.

6U teams are assigned by school and geographically. 8U teams and above are drafted based on player evaluations in January. Parents cannot make team/carpool requests. Practices will begin mid-February and continue through the season. Games begin after Opening Day Ceremonies, Foothill Finale (playoffs) are held middle of May and the Championship games are held on Closing Day Ceremonies.  

 Each player needs their own helmet (USA Softball approved), bat, cleats, glove and face mask. All players 8U and up are required to wear a fielding mask when playing infield. 6U players are encouraged to wear a fielding mask as well. A used equipment sale will take place on the day of player evaluations and Opening Ceremonies.

Registration fee includes cost of jersey, insurance, registration with USA Softball, umpires, field equipment, team equipment and more. Teams may opt for coordinated pants, socks, and visors individually.

USA Softball age requirements have changed. Your players age as of September 1, 2024, determines their division for the 2025 Spring season. Players wishing to play up in a higher division must register in their current age division and attend the evaluation for both their current division and the division they wish to play. Playing up is not guaranteed and is subject to coach and board approval.
